NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Illness,
is a grassroots advocacy and family support organization devoted
to improving the lives of persons affected by mental illness.
Founded in 1979, NAMI currently has more than 220,000 members
and over 1200 affiliates which can be found in all 50n states
as well as internationally. NAMI’s effectiveness has
earned it the title as “the nation’s voice on
mental illness.” |
